The Karakoram cabin is our suite category and the best room that our resort has to offer. The two cabins are placed in the most peaceful and serene part of the resort. The cabin has a spacious layout with the main room having an area of 360 sq. ft divided into two spaces by a traditional wooden pillar (ka). One can also see traditional Tibetan artwork done on the pillar and on the woodwork. On the one side of the wooden pillar is the bed area, and on the other side is the drawing or the sitting area. From the sitting area, our guests have access to the natural surroundings of the resort through a full-size sliding door system. The ensuite bathroom of our Karakoram suite is also bigger in area than the other categories. The space provides a shower area, a bathtub and a vanity counter to our guests. Like the rest of our categories of cabins, our Karakoram suite also has traditional roofing and ‘shen’ flooring. The furniture in the room is also inspired by the designs of George Nakashima.
