Day 1: Arrival in Leh – Acclimatisation & Leisure
Guests arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, Leh, where our driver will greet them and transfer them to Ladakh Eco Resort. Given the high altitude, the first day is reserved for rest and acclimatisation. After a refreshing nap and a delicious meal, guests can take a leisurely walk around the resort, soaking in the natural beauty of Ladakh. Dinner at the resort.
Day 2: Monasteries, History & Sunset Views
After a hearty breakfast, guests begin their day with a visit to Spituk Monastery, an 11th-century marvel known for its rich Buddhist murals and statues. Next, they explore Stakna Monastery, offering breathtaking views of the Indus Valley. Returning to Leh for lunch at a recommended café, the journey continues to Leh Palace, a historical fortress with panoramic views of the city. The day concludes at Shanti Stupa, the perfect spot to witness the sunset. Return to Ladakh Eco Resort for dinner.
Day 3: Journey to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
The adventure kicks into high gear as guests leave for Nubra Valley via Khardung La, the world’s highest motorable pass. After capturing memories with the snow-clad peaks, the journey continues to Stone Hedge Hotel, where guests check-in and rest. In the evening, a visit to the Diskit Monastery introduces them to the grandeur of Ladakh’s Buddhist heritage, including the iconic Maitreya Buddha statue. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 4: Exploring Turtuk – The Last Village on the Border
Post breakfast, guests embark on a scenic two-hour drive to Turtuk, one of India’s northernmost villages, located near the India-Pakistan border. The village’s unique culture, stunning landscapes, and history make it a fascinating experience. After lunch in Turtuk, guests return to Nubra Valley for a relaxed evening. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 5: Pangong Lake – A Himalayan Marvel
After breakfast, guests journey towards Pangong Lake via the Shyok River, stopping for lunch en route. By late afternoon, they check in at The Merak, a scenic retreat near the lake. With its mesmerising blue waters, Pangong Lake offers a serene experience. As temperatures drop in the evening, guests return indoors by 5:30 PM. Dinner at the property.
Day 6: The Tranquility of Tsomoriri Lake
The morning begins with breakfast before setting off for Tsomoriri Lake via Mahe Bridge. A stop for lunch at Mahe Bridge or Sumdo provides a break before reaching Dolphin Hotel for check-in. Guests then explore the stunning Tsomoriri Lake, a high-altitude wonder known for its migratory birds, including Brahmini ducks, bar-headed geese, and black-necked cranes. Dinner at the hotel.
Day 7: Return to Leh via Tso Kar
After breakfast, guests depart for Leh via the scenic Tso Kar route, making a stop for lunch at Debring. The 6-7 hour drive offers breathtaking views of Ladakh’s rugged landscapes. Upon arrival, guests check in at Ladakh Eco Resort for a well-deserved rest. Dinner at the resort.
